Our clients, recently retired, purchased this apt. as a pied-a-terre to be closer to their children and growing families. They were drawn to the city’s walkable nature and proximity to NYC and wanted a home that reflected a sophisticated urban aesthetic. With a fondness for blue, they welcomed a brighter palette in the main living area.
Although the unit had been recently renovated by the developer, it lacked the warm, custom layers they were hoping for. The original design brief focused on furnishings, but we expanded the scope to include custom millwork, applied trim, a new primary bath and updated powder room to remove the ‘white box’ feel.
Just a month before their son’s wedding, they asked us to gut renovate the guest bath and laundry room. With a tight timeline but completed the project with a week to spare!
